Rihanna rocks D&G’s multicolor polka dot print

Rihanna rocks D&G’s multicolor polka dot print

Last Wednesday Rihanna wore this D & G jumpsuit. From some reason people seem to frown on her combining red hair with this multicolor print, but I say, she rocked it!

D & G have a several garments in their Fall 2010 collection in this print. The blouse and dress are available at all the major designer clothes retailers these days. I have the feeling it will turn into somewhat of an 'it' print.

D & G - Chiffon blouse with neck tie - $525 D & G - Spotted silk-crepe mini dress - $695

This gorgeous mixed prints pink dress with black trim accents will sure make you stand out. In a good way. Go for an edgy grunge look by combining the dress with Dr Martens, or combine it with black platform heels for a more feminine look - your look is guarantied success either way.

A trio of colors, a trio of dresses

A trio of colors, a trio of dresses

Our natural tendency is to shop for clothes in neutrals, and spruce the outfit up with lively accessories. After a while you might find yourself with a closet full of neutral clothes. Suddenly the color of the shoes, the bag or the bracelet becomes mundane. That's why you mustn't forget to bring interesting colors and shapes into your garments as well.

Today, I bring you three dresses. A signature Vivienne Westwood dress in red hues for a weekend. A tiered navy dress by 3.1 Phillip Lim for easy chic at work. And a yellow stunner by Tibi for the perfect dinner date. You can match all three of these dresses with the same black sandals by Giambattista Valli (on sale!) and ...

Vogue France and Italia July covers

Vogue France and Italia July covers

Vogue France and Italia both opted for Chanel Fall 2010 pieces on their covers this month. On the French cover, Freja Beha, who also opened and closed the that Chanel fall show, is styled in a rather ethnic look, fusing Chanel fall collection's inspiration with a remote resort vacation look. On the Italian cover we have Christy Turlington, wearing a mohair coat from that same Chanel collection, styled as a true 60s lady.

We've seen quite a lot of 60s styling in the past few weeks, Lagerfeld's Predateurs shoot, Vogue Italia's styling. Are fashion houses sick of 90s grunge dominating the fashion scene? Do they want us to go back to coquettishly hiding our sexuality behind a more lady like attire, instead of ...

August’s magazine covers give me tripple vision

August’s magazine covers give me tripple vision

I have a new start up idea. An online magazine covers database, for magazine stylists, so that this type of thing won't happen. Stylists will be able to coordinate with each other the it dresses/bags/accessories they use on their covers, and we won't get the same damn dress on three different covers in the same month! Well, technically, W cover is July's, and the dress on Elle Uk is in different color, but you get the idea. This Miu Miu Fall 2010 dress is seriously over exposed. I hope there won't be a poor soul who's stylist will make her wear this dress on the red carpet as well!

See By Chloé - Butterfly print dress £380 from HarveyNichols

The butterfly print is amazing, but what makes this dress even better is the fact that it's got pockets!

Prédateurs by Karl Lagerfeld

Prédateurs by Karl Lagerfeld

I feel like we all need a palate cleanser after that last post about PiperLime and Project Runway.

And what better way to do it, if not with a Karl Lagerfeld editorial. Lagerfeld shot this wonderful editorial called Prédateurs for Numero Homme #19, featuring Freja Beha Erichsen, Abbey Lee Kershaw, Heidi Mount and Baptiste Giabiconi. The vibe? 60s femme fatales.

The Outnet to give away a Hervé Léger dress on July 30th

The Outnet to give away a Hervé Léger dress on July 30th

I had an exciting email in my inbox this morning. The Outnet (a discount Net-A-Porter, for those who still don't know what it is) has another one of their Giveaways. Basically, you enter your email/name/adsress/phone/weight/height/soul (kidding about the email/address/phone) and on July 30th they do a magic number crunch and pull out one lucky winner that gets this $1350 Hervé Léger dress. Of course nothing is free, your details will end up in yet another niche mailing list, but hey, who cares when you can get a $1350 Hervé Léger dress? Besides, when signing up you can at least opt out of receiving promotional emails.

Go here for the sign up at The Outnet's site.

Lou Doillon in Madame Figaro Couture on the beach photo shoot

Lou Doillon did a photo shoot a couple of days ago with photographer (/hair stylist) John Nollet on a beach in Deauville, France. Judging by her tweets it going to be good. Theme? Doillon on a horse, on a beach, in marvelous Fall 2010 Couture dresses. Can't wait to see the final result in Madam Figaro. That gorgeous golden Givenchy dress will be the real star of this shoot for me!

The stylish front row girls of Chanel Haute Couture

The stylish front row girls of Chanel Haute Couture

I'd say the guests of the Chanel Couture show held their fashionista ground quite nicely under the shadow of the giant golden lion. The list included the Gossip Girl girls, Jessica Alba, Milla Jovovich, Anna Mouglalis, Clémence Poésy, Lou Doillon, Poppy Delevigne, Caroline Sieber and Rinko Kikuchi.
