Saskia de Brauw is on the cover of Vogue Italia March 2011 issue. The Dutch model was photographed by Steven Meisel wearing a Dolce & Gabbana lace mini dress embroidered with crystals.
Incidentally, this is Saskia de Brauw's second cover this month. She also appears on Vogue Paris March 2011 cover, photographed by Mert and Marcus. Not bad for a 29 year old model!
Apparently Dior's zero-tolerance policy tromps Paris Fashion Week, because they just announced that they began layoff proceedings against John Galliano. As the situation quickly spiraled out of control, the designer's suspension has now turned into being relieved of all Dior duties.
Last Friday, John Galliano's drunken bar brawl turned into anti-Semitism allegations and a police investigation. Dior, in turn, waisted no time and immediately suspended the designer. While we still thought Galliano might recover, Natalie Portman refused to wear Dior to the 2011 Oscars - despite being Dior's spokeswoman. Then came to light a video of another incident in which a heavily drunk Galliano has a less than pleasant insults exchange that included, yet again, a tone of distain of all ...
The highly anticipated Thierry Mugler womenswear Fall 2011 collection comeback with Nicola Formichetti as it's creative director is set to stream live from Mugler Facebook page.
The stream is not planned as an afterthought to the show. It's going to be directed live, using different cameras and angles to give us the full experience. Lady Gaga will serve as musical director of the show and even play her own never heard before track. So you actually get two debuts in one livestream.
Watch Mugler Fall 2011 collection "Anatomy of Change", Wednesday 2nd March at 3PM EST on facebook.com/ThierryMugler.

None of the Red Carpet looks at yesterday's 2011 Oscars were that awful. As I said before, no one other than Cate Blanchett really attempted to make a fashion statement. The advantage of that, I suppose, is that no one had a total fiasco as well. Some were boring, some were too plain, and others simply tacky. I noticed that people liked Jennifer Lawrence's red Calvin Klein. While I thought she looked good, the dress looked too casual and bore strong resemblance to a Baywatch bathing suit. Natalie Portman was another disappointment. I always look forward to seeing what contemporary designer's look she'll wear, but this time, even though it was Rodarte, the dress could have been anyone's. It was ...
Overall, I was very pleased with the 2011 Oscars Red Carpet looks. I was hoping to see of some the more daring Spring 2011 Haute Couture, but the only one who truly satisfied my high-fashion appetite was Cate Blanchett who carried that Givenchy Haute Couture gown with great poise and elegance. Most other looks were quite safe and uneventful to such an extent that two of our Best Dressed ladies are actually "wives of" - McConaughey's Camila Alves and Wahlberg's Rhea Durham. Is making a fashion statement out of fashion?
So check out our 2011 Oscars Best Dressed list below and stay tuned for our 2011 Oscars Worst Dressed.

Earlier this month, Bulgari announced that Kirsten Dunst is the face of their new fragrance Mon Jasmin Noir, launching later this April, and now first campaign image is finally here.
Bulgari's Mon Jasmin Noir campaign featuring Kirsten Dunst was photographed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott and styled by Julia Von Boehm with FrankReps' Yumi on makeup.
Cartoonish oversize buttons, belt buckles, lapels and graphics prints. Such is the world according to Miuccia Prada for Fall 2011. And a very drastic turn from Prada Fall 2010 as well. If this fall we enjoyed plunging necklines, bustiers and hourglass figures, next fall we'll be reconnecting to the little girl in us, wearing drop waist over-the-knee dresses with oversize details mentioned above.
As far as outerwear goes, the coats were cut in the same silhouette as the dresses - made out of snake print leather or embellished with fur. For evening, Prada Fall 2011 played with big semi-lucid paillettes creating ethereal shift dresses in fish-scale effect.
While some of the details might seem outlandish, the collection was mostly very wearable - ...
John Galliano really knows how to break a girl's heart. Dior Couturier was arrested yesterday after a drunken brawl at a Paris café. According to witness statements, Galliano was drunk, allegedly throwing curse words and anti-Semitic remarks, eventually attacking a couple - fellow patrons at the Marais district café.
Police are investigating the matter and no charges have been made so far, but that was enough for Dior to ask Galliano to stay away from all work duties until the situation is resolved. This puts strongly into doubt the forthcoming Dior Fall 2011 show on March 4th.
It should be noted that while his drunken and belligerent state was confirmed by the police, the allegations regarding anti-Semitic remarks were not and remain ...
Sophie Buhai and Lisa Mayock, the designers behind Vena Cava, spilled a juicy detail at yesterday's Fashion Group International discussion panel. They announced a Vena Cava and Uniqlo collaboration. "It’s an opportunity for us to articulate our brand in a way that’s more mass," said Mayock.
It will be interesting to see if the collaboration will be infused with 90's spirit - a path Vena Cava Fall 2011 collection took. Whatever it is, I can't wait.
