H&M Conscious Collection 2011 Campaign

H&M finally hopped on the sustainability and organics trend and created what is dubbed the Conscious Collection. Fast fashion in itself is not a good thing for the environment – it creates tremendous waste and garbage – so when a fast fashion company attempts to undo some of that I welcome it.

Last month, H&M did some recycling with their mini-collection of pieces made of Lanvin For H&M scraps, but it wasn’t nearly as cute as the Conscious Collection white minimalist and romantic dresses, tops and skirts.

Playing into the white minimalist New York Spring 2011 runway trend, Conscious Collection offers pieces in light neutral colors, draped or embroidered with Broderie Anglaise or embellished with frills or romantic lace. All made of environment friendly materials such as organic cotton or recycled polyester.

H&M Conscious Collection will hit the stores April 14th. Stay tuned for a gallery of selected collection pieces here on Fashion Lover.
