Tosca Delfino‘s debut swimwear line is a cool collection of indie-chic, urban, flattering swimwear with a vintage vibe appropriately dubbed “Down Under the Brooklyn Bridge”. Offering a wide array of shapes, prints and colors in a vintage concept and priced at a reasonable $99-$121 (Canadian) – there’s something for everyone in this collection. The stand-out piece has to be the blue and white dolphin print two-piece with high-waisted panties. Timeless!
This might be a debut signature collection for Tosca Delfino but she is no stranger to the fashion world. Delfino has over 10 years of experience working in the fashion industry and her worldly point of view and cultural inspiration are thanks to her traveling and living in three different continents.
In her youth, Tosca Delfino lived in Toronto, Canada where she completed a two year design and construction program at George Brown College. Delfino then moved to Milan, Italy and completed another two years at Istituto di Moda Burgo. While in Milan, Delfino worked for Missoni and Valentin Yudashkin. Perhaps it is at Missoni where she picked up that amazing indie vintage vibe. Today Tosca Delfino is based in Sydney, Australia. It is at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week 2010 where she debuted the collection.
Both the lookbook and the upcoming Spring 2011 ad campaign were photographed in New York City by Owen Bruce.
