While browsing a new blog on the block Lowefactor I discovered a new New York designer – Jac Langheim and with her came a wearable high-fashion latex collection (can you imagine?).
Jac Langheim created her debut Spring 2011 collection mainly out of latex with a bit of the more mainstream cotton. What makes Langheim’s debut collection great is that she doesn’t fixate on latex as a fetish object. In fact, she steered clear of anything that could be perceived as fetish wear and amazingly put out a strong ready-to-wear collection of dresses, jackets and separates. All in black and white and nothing that could, even remotely, be associated with Katy Perry or Lady Gaga.
