G.V.G.V Spring 2011 Collection Japan Fashion Week

I discovered the brand G.V.G.V only recently while doing imaginary shopping at the Opening Ceremony webstore (am I the only one who does that?). The Japanese label was created over 10 years ago by the Japanese designer Mug. A mix of femininity and masculinity is how Mug best describes her style.

What immediately caught my attention in the new G.V.G.V Spring 2011 collection is not only the bold use of color but also the bold print mixing. The most eye catching prints G.V.G.V offers us for Spring 2011 are the Ikat and leopard prints, but also included in the collection are other East Indies inspired prints.

The collection of course is a few months out of our reach, but in the meantime you can check out G.V.G.V at Opening Ceremony.
