Apparently Linda Evangelista’s alien beauty look in Talbots Fall 2010 ad campaigns was too much to handle for Talbots’ executives. They decided they needed a look that is less “severe”. Less high-fashion is, I guess, what they meant.
Come in Julianne Moore. The actress, who was the face of Bulgari Fall 2010 ad campaign (that campaign where they needlessly tortured two lion cubs), will be the new face of Talbots Spring 2011 ad campaign.
Julianne Moore is about to turn 50, so despite my slight disdain from using actresses instead of models for fashion campaigns, I’m happy to see a woman her age starring in so many prestigious fashion campaigns.
