I must say, I’m not exactly up-to-date with German publications. Last time I read anything German it was Der Spiegel, to read up on the European take on Middle East. I suppose creating 40 different covers, all of Claudia Schiffer, to celebrate your publication’s 40th birthday is another (good) way to gain international exposure.
Each cover captures Claudia Schiffer as a different character – the hippie, the popper, the techno clubber, and the list goes on. Christoph Amend, Zeit’s editorial director, said they chose Schiffer because she too just now turned 40.
